A Visit to Sonoma

The rich colors of this necklace bring warm reds and chilled white wines to mind. The gorgeous contemporary polymer clay art pendant is by California artist Julie Picarelli. I combined the pendant with the unique stone, mookite, which has maroon, bone white and deep gold and mixtures of the three colors in its opaque composition. Various shapes of this interesting stone add  to the dynamic look of this necklace. Included in this asymmetric design are carved Mexican amber and golden raku beads.

The earrings are ceramic Kazuri beads from Kenya with the perfect array of matching colors of the necklace dropped from gold plated ear wires.
